Kathryn Bartram, Development & Marketing Director

After 20 years in the corporate world Kathryn is thrilled to be able to use her experience to deliver a lasting impact at Reed’s.  Kathryn has previously worked for McKinsey & Co, Citigroup, and The Federal Reserve Bank. She holds an MBA from M.I.T. In her spare time she enjoys walking her dog and being with her family.

Alison Atkins, Assistant Marketing Director

Alison joined the Development Office in 2006. She previously spent 14 years in the insurance industry as a Lloyd’s broker specialising in the onshore oil and gas market. After a career break she worked for a period of time at a local estate agency before coming to work at Reed’s. Married to the Deputy Head, Academic with three sons, she is fully involved with the life and community of the School.

Ruth de Fraga Gomes, Foundation Manager (Pastoral)

After obtaining a degree in Psychology from Reading University, Ruth started a career in the fashion industry. Before becoming Foundation Manager, Ruth also worked in the catering department and the Art department at Reed’s. In addition to her work with Reed’s Foundation pupils, Ruth is also a Girl Guide leader and is actively involved in her local church.

Chris Lewis, Foundation Manager (Relations)

Chris initially trained as a state registered nurse, specialising in oncology. Chris then turned towards the Charity sector and spent 11 years as an Operations Director for a national children’s charity before joining the Foundation team at Reed’s where she uses that expertise to foster good relations with our donors. Passionate about helping young people, in her spare time Chris enjoys playing sport and spending time with her family.

Sharmaine Matthews, Assistant Alumni Director

With over 25 years marketing and communications experience in the broadcast and media industry, Sharmaine is able use the skills she gained to foster excellent alumni relations that not only strengthen the relationships between our Old Reedonians, but also actively engage them in School life.  In addition, as a parent of two Reed’s pupils, her understanding and commitment to the School are further enhanced and she is particularly delighted to also work on promoting the Foundation.

Lucy Sadler, Alumni & Development Officer

Lucy grew up in Cobham and, after leaving Exeter University with a degree in Sport Science, she worked in the City of London where she pursued a career in Marketing and PR, working for many of the largest brands. In January 2017 she joined Reed’s as the Alumni & Development Officer, a role she thoroughly enjoys. Have already met so many amazing ORs, she’s looking forward to getting to know many more over the coming years. Lucy lives in Cobham with her fiancé, Tom and son, Noah, and sport still features highly in her life.

Ed Whiffin, Events & Outreach Manager

After reading Music at Southampton University, Ed obtained a Diploma in Events Management. Using this knowledge along with previous experience obtained in the education sector, Ed oversees the smooth running of events across the School as well as organising our extensive Outreach programme and administering the Annual Foundation Appeal. He is also an Old Reedonian, having attended Reed’s from 2000 to 2005.
