The Assembly Hall was transformed into a Music Festival complete with gazebos, hay bales, bunting and a band for the sell-out FORS Quiz Night with a festival vibe! Guests, dressed as reggae, disco, punk and rock ‘n roll singers, enjoyed a very challenging quiz and a mouth-watering dinner. It was The Beatles who, with no help from their friends, triumphed in the quiz, and the best-dressed table prize was awarded to Bob Marley & the Wailers closely followed by The Village People.
The ever-popular FORS Christmas Fair was held in the Sports Hall again this year with more stalls than ever with something for everyone. The Christmas Café served freshly made sandwiches, home-made cakes, tea and coffee and from 4pm mulled wine and warm mince pies were served whilst carols were being played by the Reed’s School Brass Ensemble.
Thank you to everyone who decorated the hall, baked cakes, donated prizes or helped on the day. We raised an amazing £6,400 which will be used to buy some very exciting things for the school over the next few months!
A fun night arranged primarily for the families of boys in the First, Second and Third Forms. Gates opened early so that guests could enjoy delicious food from our pop-up food stalls including gourmet burgers, freshly made stonebaked pizzas and Asian style noodles. There was also a well-stocked bar, mulled wine and a retro van serving hot drinks, donuts and candy floss for the children. The finale Fireworks display added to a fun filled evening!
This event is a great opportunity for new parents to meet everyone and find out about FORS and what we do. For existing parents, it’s a chance to catch up with old friends and make some new ones at our first big social event of the year. This year’s event was very well attended by lots of new parents and everyone enjoyed the gin tasting!
An evening of music, food and fun entertainment for all the family held in the Reed's marquee. Music was provided by the fabulous Famous Five band, with fun for children of all ages on the Total Wipeout with other inflatables and fairground games keeping them all entertained – even the teenagers! Drinks were provided from the Pimms tent and bar; food was available to purchase from a grill hut, creperie and other pop-up food stalls, with a sugar rush available from candy floss or ice cream stalls.
To contact us, please write to FORS c/o Reed's School or pop a letter in the FORS Box at Reception. Alternatively you can email the Chair, Sarah McCormack.
