Academic support at Reed's is an integral part of the school and the department is equipped with an array of learning resources and the latest technology to help pupils with specific learning difficulties (SpLDs).
The department supports pupils who mainly have mild dyslexic and dyspraxic tendencies, building on a pupil’s individual strengths, whilst supporting their weaknesses. As a pupil progresses through the School this usually requires learning study skills to suit their learning profile. Every child is different and support is tailored accordingly, working in a multi-sensory way in order to address the needs of the pupil.
Lessons are on a one-to-one basis or in small groups and are organised to minimise impact on subject lessons. As part of the founding ethos of Reed’s the school does not charge extra for Academic Support.
